🌱 New to Spinal Flow 4 questions
Spinal Flow Technique is a gentle, non-invasive healing modality that works with the nervous system to release blockages stored along the spine. Through light touch at specific access points, it activates the body's innate intelligence to heal itself — physically, emotionally, and mentally. Unlike chiropractic or massage, there is no manipulation or forceful adjustment involved.
SFT is completely safe and gentle for people of all ages — from newborns to the elderly. The touch used during a session is extremely light, similar to the pressure you'd use to check a tomato for ripeness. Most people find sessions deeply relaxing, and many fall into a meditative or sleep-like state during treatment.
SFT supports the body in addressing a wide range of physical and emotional concerns, including chronic pain, back and neck tension, stress and anxiety, fatigue, headaches, digestive issues, sleep disturbances, and emotional trauma. Rather than targeting specific symptoms, SFT works holistically — when the nervous system is free of blockages, the whole body benefits.
While chiropractic and physiotherapy focus on structural alignment or muscle rehabilitation, SFT works primarily with the nervous system and the body's own healing intelligence. There are no cracks, adjustments, or intense pressure. SFT also addresses the emotional and energetic layers of healing, not just the physical.
🤔 Still Unsure? 4 questions
Every person's healing journey is unique. Some people notice significant shifts after their very first session, while others experience gradual improvements over several weeks. As a general guide, a series of 6–10 sessions is recommended to allow the nervous system to fully release deep-seated patterns. Healing happens in layers — consistency is key.
You remain fully clothed and lie face-down on a treatment table. Your practitioner uses gentle touch along specific points of your spine, sacrum, and cranium to locate and release blockages. Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes. You may experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, spontaneous movement, emotional release, or deep relaxation — all of which are signs that your body is processing and healing.

Absolutely. SFT works beautifully alongside conventional medicine, as well as other complementary practices such as acupuncture, counselling, naturopathy, or yoga. Always inform your practitioner of any ongoing medical treatments or medications so they can tailor your sessions accordingly.
🔄 After Your Session 4 questions
This is completely normal and is actually a positive sign. After a session, your nervous system enters a deep processing phase. Feelings of fatigue, emotional sensitivity, vivid dreams, or even temporary discomfort are known as a healing response — your body releasing what it no longer needs. Staying hydrated, resting, and being gentle with yourself will help move this through quickly.
The effects of SFT are cumulative. While some benefits are felt immediately, the deeper shifts — relief from chronic pain, emotional clarity, improved sleep, increased energy — tend to build progressively over a series of sessions. Many clients report that the most profound changes become apparent 24–72 hours after a session, as the body continues to integrate the work.
Following post-session aftercare is essential — staying hydrated, prioritising rest, eating anti-inflammatory foods, spending time in nature, and journalling your experience. Minimising stress and avoiding intense physical exertion in the 24 hours after a session also helps your body integrate the changes more effectively.
Over time, most clients transition from intensive weekly sessions to monthly maintenance visits as their nervous system becomes more resilient and self-regulating. Your practitioner will guide you based on your progress. Many people choose to continue with occasional sessions simply because of how supported, clear, and balanced they feel — it becomes a valued part of their overall wellness routine.
